Brand design projects made for education and experimentation purposes

TICTACTOE GAMES

A stationary design for a fictional game design company consisting of a logo, business cards, letterheads, and envelopes. This was a project in brand identity and consistency. In my design, I made sure to focus on clean lines, like a game of tic tac toe.

MONSTER ON THE MOON

This was another branding project, this time for a fictional band. I design a logo, album art, tour poster, and website for this band. It was meant to be a pop-pink/indie band, so I made sure to keep these genres in mind while coming up with designs.

AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES

This was a project to design a hardcover book sleeve for a fictional book of my choosing. Using my illustration skills, I digitally drew the cover, and added the text and layout, making sure to choose a fun and playful design that worked with the illustration.

TYPOGRAPHY NOW: THE CURRENT STATE OF TYPE

This project was a task to design two posters for a fictitious typography exhibit. One exhibit is on the current state of typography, while the second is on the state of typography during a specific time period in history, designed as though the exhibit is taking place in that time period. I chose to focus on the 1920s art deco style.

 THE RAVEN KING MICROBREWERY

The task I was presented with was branding and promoting a fictional microbrewery's beer flavor: The Raven King's Golden Ale. This project includes the bottle design, the six pack design, a magazine ad, a billboard, and an Instagram page mock up. This company was marketed towards young, outdoorsy people who wanted a decadent tasting drink, as well as individuals who wanted a drink with friends to feel like a court party. So, the packaging itself had graphic elements depicting a lake and mountains, with gold accents to promote the idea that one was a king out when out in nature. The magazine and billboard ads show the Raven King, surrounded by bottles, remarking how it is good to be king. The Instagram ads further portray the decadence and important feeling of the drink.

Used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

 TYPOGRAPHICAL BOOK COVER

This was a project in minimalism. Using only typographical elements, black, white, and one other color, I had to create a book cover for a well known story. . I chose Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland." I decided to use a whimsical, hand drawn looking font as it is a children's tale. I chose the iconic blye of Alice's dress to be the accent color. The letters of the protagonist's name appear to be falling from the hole to "Wonderland," as Alice falls through the rabbit hole in the story.
